Context:
Time Capsule is a podcast cover design system created for a history and culture series exploring memory, nostalgia, and the passage of time. The project focuses on building a recognisable visual identity that could adapt across multiple episodes while maintaining consistency.
Challenge:
The challenge was to create a flexible cover system that could support a range of episode topics without becoming repetitive. The identity also needed to communicate themes of fragmentation, memory, and reconstruction in a visually engaging way.
Approach:
I explored torn paper collage textures, layered imagery, and bold typography to reflect the idea of piecing together moments from the past. This led to the development of a modular visual system where colour and composition could shift between episodes while maintaining a recognisable structure.
The layouts were designed to remain clear and legible at smaller digital sizes while still retaining texture and visual depth.
Outcome:
The result is a scalable podcast cover system that balances consistency with variation across episodes. The identity communicates themes of memory and reconstruction while remaining adaptable, recognisable, and optimised for digital platforms.
